If you find yourself in this situation, take it slowly. Confirm the numbers with more than one shared match before drawing conclusions, since a single outlier can sometimes be explained by endogamy (repeated intermarriage within a small community, common in certain religious, ethnic, or geographically isolated populations) rather than a hidden parentage event.
