    Fall River, Mass., Feb. 13. - News has reached this city that a bad accident occurred on the Old Colony railway, at Asoonet Station. The accident was due to the washing out of a culvert by the heavy rain that has prevailed in this section for the past twenty-four hours.

    Provo (UPI) - Wreckage of a light plane carrying Chicago Cubs star KEN HUBBS and a companion was found today on nearby Utah Lake.

    Search officials said the new red and white, single-engine Cessna 172 owned and piloted by the second baseman crashed, apparently a few minutes after takeoff two days ago, a quarter mile south of Bird Island. HUBBS had taken off from Provo Airport in bad flying weather for a flight to Morrow Field near Colton, Calif.

    1904  BAD FIRE IN CONNECTICUT. TOWN HALL OF MERIDEN DESTROYED AND SIX FIREMEN HURT.
    Meriden, Conn., Feb. 15. - For eight hours Sunday firemen fought a fire which finally caused the complete destruction of the town hall and injuries to six men of the fire department. The loss is about $130,000, of which amount about $125,000 falls upon the town. The fire caught, it is believed, from crossed electric wires. None of the firemen were seriously injured.
