    South Bend Depot, Wash., March 2. - (Special.) - Fourteen inches of rain is South Bend's record for February. Torrential rains have fallen every day since February 22 up to this morning.

    Tacoma, March 2. - All the business section of Centralia, Wash., is inundated by about three feet of water, caused by the overflow of China Creek. The floods are the worst experienced there for 20 years.

    Montpelier, Vt., March 3. - Montpelier lost another of its old landmarks Saturday, when the Union House, a hotel at which coach drivers and their patrons stopped while on the way from Montreal to Boston, in state coach days, was destroyed by fire. The damage was $30,000.

    1910  TEAMS STRUCK BY AUTOMOBILE.
    The heavy automobile truck used by the New England telephone company to carry supplies for the linemen collided with two teams at the corner of Chestnut and Sharon streets Tuesday morning and seriously injured one of the horses. The auto skidded and struck first a team owned by Nicholas Zeo, smashing the wagon and throwing out the driver. The machine then slid into the delivery team of Hall & Stewart, knocking down the horse and causing such injuries that he may have to be killed.
